  17. <p>    At 21, Harry Connick Jr. isn't quite old enough to be a jazz
  18. master. But the New Orleans native has been working at it for
  19. a while. At six, he was already sitting in with Dixieland
  20. musicians. Right now he seems to be winning for jazz piano the
  21. same young audience that Wynton Marsalis won for jazz horn.
  22. "It's the kind of music I was born to play," Connick says. But
  23. while he can mimic a wide range of styles, Connick admits he
  24. doesn't have his own. "I'm still trying to understand Duke
  25. Ellington and Art Tatum." Harry, you've got lots of time.
